Doctor Rootmensen studied medicine in Amsterdam, where he subsequently also trained as a pulmonologist. He has several scientific publications to his name. Since 2010 he has been working at the Dijklander Hospital in Hoorn and Purmerend.
Since 2019, Geert Rootmensen has also been affiliated with Ruysdael Slaapkliniek, where he uses his expertise to treat people with disturbed sleep due to an airway obstruction.
