Update April 17
Ruysdael Slaapkliniek is currently continuing treating patients, but in an adapted form. All appointments are made by telephone or video calling.
We closely follow the guidelines of the RIVM, the Federation of Medical Specialists and the Association of Independent Clinics in the Netherlands to protect our employees and our patients.
Sleep studies now take place temporarily via a device sent to you by post. This user-friendly device is called Nightowl (from the company Ectosense). It is placed on the fingertip with a plaster and its sensors measure the main sleep parameters for several nights. Based on blood flow and oxygen content, this device can determine if someone has sleep apnea. Our doctors determine for each patient whether using this device is possible. You may need a more detailed sleep study later. The doctor will discuss this with you. In many cases, however, we can suffice with the sleep study sent to you by post.
Extensive sleep study
For our extensive sleep study, a nurse will usually visit your home to install this. However, this no longer fits in with the policy that is currently determined by RIVM, the Federation of Medical Specialists and the Association of Independent Clinics in the Netherlands. All more extensive sleep studies have therefore been canceled for the time being. If you already had an appointment for the regular sleep study at home, we will contact you to convert it to the Nightowl sleep study. If necessary, you will still receive the extensive examination at home at a later stage.
If you have any questions or if you want to make an appointment, please contact us.
